Betty Anne Alexander (nee Ferrey) passed on Dec. 7, 2024, at the age of 68, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Betty Anne is survived by her husband Greg, her children Kate (Jason) and Matt (Kaley), her grandchildren Lucy and Graham, and brother Geoff (Theresa). She was predeceased by her parents, Aubrey and Daphne Ferrey.

Betty Anne was born and grew up in Rocky Mountain House and spent summers at Crimson Lake. She attended the University of Alberta, earning a degree in Pharmacy. She worked and was an active community member in various groups in Alberta. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed travelling, motorcycle trips and driving her sidecar. She was involved in the quilting community and was part of multiple quilt guilds. She enjoyed sharing her passion for quilting with others including her daughter, grandchildren and friends. She and her family often joked about her extensive fabric inventory. Betty Anne will be missed by many.

Throughout her battle with cancer, we appreciate the care and support of family, friends, Wetaskiwin Home Care and Pilgrims Hospice.

Betty Anne’s celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m., at Hainstock’s Funeral Home, 9810-34 Ave., Edmonton, Alta.

The family has requested that in lieu of sending flowers, consider a donation or contribution to Pilgrims Hospice Society.
