Donald Joseph Bogner
March 5, 1935 – Oct. 9, 2024

Donald Joseph Bogner passed away Oct. 9, 2024, at the age of 89 years old. He was originally from Fort Benton, Montana.

Don loved to sing and play guitar. He taught his children the chords on the piano and guitar. The ice cream song was one of his favourites, along with many other songs.

He farmed for several years in the Bingley area. He raised sheep, chickens and turkeys for a few years. He had built a few houses in the area. He also enjoyed fishing down at Lobstick Creek on the property. When we moved into town, Don enjoyed going to A & W or McDonald’s for coffee to visit with friends.

Left with precious memories are his wife Josie, son Jeffrey, daughter Lisa, son-in-law Paul, grandchildren Winston and Katrina, twin brother Paul (Frances), sister Maryann, sister-in-law Rita, numerous nieces and nephews who called him “Uncle Donnie,” and close and special friend Mary DeMaere.

Donald was predeceased by infant daughter Tracey, parents Mary and Cornelius Bogner, three brothers and three sisters.

A funeral service is to be held at the St. Matthew’s Church in Rocky Mountain House on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024, at 1 p.m.
