Heather Johnson
Heather was born on June 27,1940, in Victoria, B.C., to Ellen and James Robson. Her father was killed at the end of October 1944 in an Air Force training accident, so she grew up without a father. She lived a full and vibrant life from beginning to end. She met the love of her life, Donald, and they were married on July 14, 1963. While Don was training as a pastor, she worked as a lab technician and supported him. Later, she trained as a schoolteacher and became very skilled in the profession. Together they travelled all over Canada. She got to live on both the east and the west coasts of Canada, as well as some areas in between. They finally settled in Rocky Mountain House where they have lived for the last 28 years. She always tried to make the world a better place and after they settled in Rocky Mountain House, she could be found working every Wednesday that she was able to at the Seventh Day Adventist community services centre. She will be dearly missed by her husband Don; her children: Roger, Kevin (Sharon), Laurel (Darcy McKay); her foster sons: Isaiah Strawberry and Chris Bigsmoke-Gouda; her three grandchildren: Kimberly, Kenny and Katie, who she called her Special Ks. She is also survived by her brothers Roland and Arland. She was predeceased by her parents, Ellen and James Robson, and her brother Alan. The funeral service is scheduled to be at the Rocky Church of the Nazarene, Rocky Mountain House, Alta., on Feb. 28 at 1 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded to www.rockyfuneralhome.ca. Rocky and Sylvan Lake Funeral Homes and Crematorium, your Golden Rule Funeral Homes, entrusted with the arrangements. |
