Robert “Bob” McKenzie

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” M. McKenzie on Oct. 30, 2024, at the age of 77 years of age.

Bob was born in Calgary, Alta., on July 5, 1947. He spent his earlier life in the oilpatch then went on to work for Rocky Wood Preservers until he retired at the age of 68 years. His favourite thing to do was golfing with family and friends.

He is survived by his son Jesse (Jackie) of Sylvan Lake, Alta; his daughter Tina (Ken) of Caroline, Alta; brother Allan (Sherry) of Mirror, Alta; sister Jean Vittitoe of Edmonton, Alta; grandchildren: Angie, Chantel, Sonny and Dalton; great-grandchildren: Jazmyn, Cyrus, Ryker, Serena and Shaylynn; and various nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents Sylvia and John McKenzie of St. Paul, Alta.; brothers: Charlie of St. Paul, Alta., and John of Rocky Mountain House; ex-wife and mother of his children Adele Cochrane of Sylvan Lake, Alta.

There will be no service at this time.

Memorial donations can be made in Bob’s name to STARS or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
