Brenda Jean Sande (Glynn)
June 17, 1950 – Oct. 16, 2024

It is with great sadness and loss the family announces the sudden passing of Brenda Jean Sande on Oct. 16, 2024, after a lengthy battle with health challenges at the age of 74.

Brenda was born in Lethbridge, Alta., on June 17, 1950, to Phyllis and Donald Glynn and grew up in Warner, Alta., with her two sisters and two brothers. After completing high school, she took a course at Lethbridge College and then moved to Edmonton where she worked, got married and started a family of three sons. Brenda was a dedicated mother, immaculate homemaker and meticulous organizer, and her family and home were always her focus and pride. A few years after the marriage ended; while working in Red Deer she met Chris Sande of Rocky Mountain House and in 1986, decided to give farm life a try. This also added two stepsons to her family. Brenda and Chris built a new home and took over the family farm when Chris’ parents retired. Brenda worked hard to keep a well-organized home and immaculate yard that resulted in a beautification award in 1996.

Brenda is survived by loving husband of 36 years Chris; sons: Ganon, Wes and Chris; step-sons: Jeff and Kevin; sister Paulette; brothers Tom and Dave; nieces, nephews, grandchildren and a recent great-grandson. She was predeceased by her parents Phyllis and Don, stepfather Clarence, sister Donella and brothers-in-law Randy and Pat, and sister-in-law Liza.

As per Brenda’s wishes, there will be no service and memorial donations can be made to the donor’s choice. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the EMS responders, the RCMP, the Rocky Funeral Home for their care and support. We also want to thank Dr. Braganza and Riley Epp from RespMD out of the Red Deer Hospital and also the nurses and staff of the Rocky Health Care Emergency Dept. for all the help. We are fortunate to have such great facilities close by in this area.

Condolences may be forwarded to www.rockyfuneralhome.ca.

Rocky and Sylvan Lake Funeral Homes and Crematorium, your Golden Rule Funeral Homes, entrusted with the arrangements.
