Mary Lou Welfl
Nov. 13, 1955 – May 5, 2025

Our beloved mother, grandmother and sister passed away on May 5, 2025, after a short, fierce battle with cancer at the age of 69 years.
Mary was born in Medicine Hat on Nov. 13,1955, to Jeanie and Nick Welfl.

Mary was the heart and soul of our family and she will be dearly missed.
Mary is survived by her two children, six beautiful grandchildren and five siblings: Tanya (Steven) Paterson, Shae and Madison; Dana (Corry) Flikinger, Hailey, Cassandra, Keely and Draven; Judy (Terry) Poole; Patricia Fofonoff; Francis (Teryl) Welfl; Randy (Noreen) Welfl; and Barb (Dale) Petite.

Mary is predeceased by her father Nicholas, mother Jeanie and her brother Donny (Ester).

A celebration of life for Mary was held at Chapel of the Rocky Funeral Home on May 12, 2025, followed by inurnment at Pine Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mary’s memory to Compassionate Care Hospice Society.
