Calvin “Cal” Henry Yakel
June 12, 1939 – Oct. 7, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Calvin “Cal” Henry Yakel of Rimbey, Alta. Cal passed away at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Monday, Oct. 7, 2024, at the age of 85 years.

Cal was born on June 12, 1939, in Preece-ville, Sask. He was a caring father and a well-respected friend to many. Cal loved skeet shooting, trap shooting, fishing and golf. He will be remembered for his big heart that he freely shared with his family and friends.

Cal will be lovingly remembered by his children Doug (Gina) and Neil (Christine); his cherished grandchildren Jenny and Grace; and a treasured great-grandson Bailey. He is also survived by his brother Norman; as well as many additional family members and close friends. Cal was predeceased by his parents Henry and Jean; and his daughter Dawn in 1994.
