John “Jack” Elmer Gordon
1937 – 2018

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father. Although his tough and strong exterior could fool many people, his enormous heart was unmatched for his loved ones.
Jack was born in Rocky Mountain House on April 1, 1937, to Warren Gordon and Gladys Greer. He spent many decades in the logging and lumber industry until an unfortunate accident disabled him. Being a natural fighter he pushed forward to provide and raise his family. He always had time for family, friends and loved ones and always helped anyway he could.
Jack was predeceased by his sisters: Lois in 2009, and Maureen in 2016.
Left to mourn him are his sons: Blair (Sheri), Wesley and John; brothers: Fred, Gerald (Marion) and Bruce (Lillian); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and a best friend.
As per dad’s wishes there will be no funeral or service held.
Cremation has been entrusted to Rocky Mountain Crematorium, Rocky Mountain House, Alta.
Memorial donations in Jack’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Condolences may be made to
Rocky and Sylvan Lake Funeral Homes and Crematorium, your Golden Rule Funeral Homes, entrusted with the arrangements.
