Jack Vincent Mayhew
July 19, 1951 – Oct. 25, 2019

It is with great sadness that the family of Jack Vincent Mayhew announces his sudden passing on Oct. 25, 2019, in Rocky Mountain House, at the age of 68.
Jack was born in Belleville, Ont., on July 19, 1951, to Patrick and Evelyn Mayhew. He was the middle child to seven siblings. After graduating high school, he met and married his lovely wife Deborah May on Oct. 14, 1972, and shared 47 wonderful years of marriage. They were blessed with the birth of three daughters, Lisa, Sandra and Jackie.
Jack worked most of his adult life in the oilfield, retiring at the age of 66. Jack greatly enjoyed the outdoors, going camping with friends and family. He was an avid fisherman who loved to go catch his favourite fish—walleye. His favourite time was hunting season where he would spend it at hunting camp with family and numerous friends. His greatest love was his family and the time they spent together.
Jack will be greatly missed by his wife Debbie; his daughters, Lisa, Sandra (Steve), and Jackie (Gord); his six grandchildren, Chrissy (Jesse), Richard (Natasha), Brittany (Jordan), Logan, Tia (Dallas), and Brandon (Ashley); and his three great-grandsons, Dimorian, Austin, and Aiden. He is survived by six siblings, Lloyd (Myrna), Betty, Terry (Sherry), Patsy (Ross), Randy (Maureen), Pat (Pam) and their families.
He was predeceased by both of his parents, Patrick and Evelyn Mayhew; and his older brother Bob Mayhew.
A celebration of Jack’s life will be held at the Chapel of the Rocky Funeral Home Rocky Mountain House, Alta., on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019, at 1 p.m.
