Gordon Lee “Dale” Moore
Oct. 8, 1940 – June 7, 2018

Dale passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 7, 2018.
Dale was born on Oct. 8, 1940, in Manor, Sask., to Wesley and Elsie Moore. He was the second of four children. Dale met Doreen Nora (Erickson), daughter to Rudolph and Ethel (Dryer) Erickson, and they were married in August of 1958. The newlyweds moved to Calgary, Alta., where their son Rob was born. Dale started working at a service station and also a job with AGT; a career that lasted for 35 years until his retirement in 1994. In 1975, Dale and Doreen bought their dream acreage in Rocky Mountain House and built their house on the Clearwater River. Dale was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had many adventures with his son Rob and some lifelong friends. Dale took up golfing as his hobby, planning on his retirement, where he had great times and met good friends.
Dale was predeceased by his parents Wes and Elsie; Doreen’s parents Rudolph and Ethel; and Doreen, his wife who passed away suddenly in 2003.
He is survived by his son Rob (Michele); granddaughters: Cei-Jay Moore (Jim Jennings) and Santana Moore (Catlin VanAllen); great-grandchildren: Danika and Mason Jennings and Vesper VanAllen; brothers: Ron (Jackie) their children Stephen, Colin and Kevin and Perry and his children Amber and Mike; sister Michelle (Craig Savill); brother-in-law Daryl Bax, special friend Sharon Ferguson and close family friends the Freemans.
At Dale’s request there will be no service. Please remember him in your own way. Cremation entrusted to Rocky Mountain Crematorium, Rocky Mountain House, Alta.
