Ronald Rune Olson
Oct. 28, 1954 – June 1, 2021

Ron passed away peacefully on June 1, 2021, at the Rocky Hospital at the age of 66.
Ron was born in Devon, Alta., on Oct. 28, 1954, to Rune and Doris Olson. He shared many fond memories of his childhood and the adventures he had growing up.
Ron was an avid fastball player, hockey player and water-skier.  He played for the Texaco Chiefs, Butte Rebels, and the Voyageurs. His joy in his younger days were sports and his family.  In his later years, he absolutely loved being a “Grampa.”
Ron was very intelligent, always had facts to share and stories to tell. He found happiness in helping others, was a very devoted son and helper to his parents in their later years and was willing to drop everything to help someone else.
He will be missed by his son, Michael; daughter, Tracy (Logan); grandchildren: Brooke, Natalie, Claire, and Madelyn; sister, Teresa; and the mother of his children, Lisa. He will be forever remembered by his nieces and nephews, Joel (Darrel-Lynne); Rye; Desiree (Michael); Nathan (Tashina); as well as numerous cousins and friends.
Ron was predeceased by his parents, Rune and Doris Olson; his brother, Kerry; niece, Dayna; and nephew, Nigel.
As per Ron’s request, there will be no funeral service.
