Eva Rose Virag
July 11, 2021

Eva Rose Virag passed away peacefully at Westview Lodge in Rocky Mountain House, Alta., on July 11, 2021, at the age of 93.
Eva was widowed at a very young age; she played the role of both mother and father at a time when this was not common. Despite these struggles she always provided a loving and warm home for her son, Garry, daughter Karen, and always welcomed family and friends.
Eva had a long and successful career in the restaurant industry, whether it be in Saskatchewan or in Alberta. She made some wonderful friends and was a mentor to many. She was also actively involved with the CWL in Wakaw, Sask., for many years.
She enjoyed many things in her life. One of her favourites was visiting with her parents, brothers, sisters, their families and her son and daughter and their families.
Eva worked hard her whole life, but she did take time to travel throughout Western Canada, Ontario and ten states. She always enjoyed her trips and always had a story or two to share.
Eva is lovingly remembered by son Garry (Lin); daughter Karen; grandchildren: Jason, Lynzi, Amber and Sandi (Paul); great-grandchildren: Trinity, Kris, Skyelar and Daulten; great-great-grandchildren: Mason, Dylan and Declan; sister Ella; and brothers: Alphonse and Marcel; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Steve; son Lyle; granddaughter Ashley; great-granddaughter Sophie; parents Rose and Martin Muller; and siblings Josephine, Louie, Edward and Andy.
Heaven gained an angel.
A celebration of Eva’s life will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations in Eva’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
