Richard Charles “Chuck” Woodley

April 2, 1937 - April 2, 2018

On April 2, 2018, Richard Charles “Chuck” Woodley passed away at Park Avenue at the age of 81 years.
Chuck was born on the farm in Minitonas, Man., on April 2, 1937, the third child of Robert and Elizabeth.
In the late 1950s, he moved to Campbell River, B.C., where he met his future wife Karen. They were married in 1966. In 1968 and 1969, they were blessed with two girls, Cathy and Brenda. Chuck worked for Crown Zellerback at the pulp and paper mill. In 1979, the family moved to Westbank, B.C., where he worked for Kelowna Motors. In 1980, they moved to Calgary, Alta., where he went to work for Crown Tire. Then in 1982, the family moved to Rocky Mountain House where Chuck went to work for Quinn Contracting for 15 years at the Husky Gas Plant and then directly for Husky Oil for 10 years.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 53 years Karen, his two daughters: Cathy Scott and Brenda (Peter) O’Toole, four grandchildren: Blaine (Coltan), Kellie, Aidan and Ryan; sister Kathleen and brother Bruce.
Chuck was predeceased by his parents Elizabeth and Robert, brother Norman, sisters-in-law Nettie and Carolyn and brother-in-law Bill.
A celebration of Chuck’s life will be held at the Chapel of the Rocky Funeral Home on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at 1 p.m. Cremation entrusted to the Rocky Funeral Home and Crematorium, Rocky Mountain House, Alta.
