A Wild game verus Knights
By Glen Mazza

The West Country Wild hockey team has a sasquatch as a mascot which is fitting since they put in a massive effort in a game on March 29 at the Bunch Arena in Rocky.
The Wild beat the Edmonton CanWest Knights by a score of 6 – 4 and out shot them by a margin of 33 to 16.
The Wild is a spring-time team only and is made up of players from various small communities in the area. These seven and eight-year-olds will enter some spring tournaments since the minor hockey season is over. This was the final game of the season to be played at the Bunch Arena with the ice schedule for removal on April 1.
The Wild dominated the game except for a few missed plays that the Knights scored on. It was an exhibition game that the teams used to prepare for upcoming tournaments since league play is now finished.
The players include Branson Otto, Brulen Peterson, Caleb Grenier, Cass Moos, Chloe Egeto, Cooper Clattenburg, Fletcher Jones, Grayson Pfannmuller, Jager Schwab, Jesse Dezall, Kade Vandervlis, Kaison Walker, Karden Warwick, Max Andrews, Mesten Eliuk, Tyler Bilyk and Zander Black.
