Len Phillips

I have lived in Rocky for 24 years I am married to a supportive wife and have been blessed with three kids and five grandchildren. I am proud to be serving the residents of Rocky Mountain House during my current term as town councillor.
Experience Matters:
I am seeking re-election on Town Council. I expect to be even more effective and productive in my second term using the connections, knowledge, and experience I’ve gained in the past four years to benefit the town’s residents.
In my next term as councillor, I will keep working on maintaining a strong fiscal, local government that listens to the residents and has no hidden agenda. My number one priority has and always will be to make the best decisions for the residents of Rocky in the most efficient and fiscally responsible way possible.
Once elected I will continue to provide strong leadership over the next four years and vote to promote and grow Rocky into a place where families, businesses and tourists want to come play and stay!
I have had extensive training in business operations and I am a highly trained facilitator for conflict resolution and team building. I have been the general manager for six Zellers stores including the one that was in Rocky. I then owned my own small business, Work World, in Rocky that became Mark’s Work Warehouse. I currently am a top producing real estate agent in Rocky and Clearwater County.
I love to serve
I have enjoyed in my past being a two-term president of the Rocky Chamber of Commerce, a two-term president of the Rocky Kinsmen Club, current president and player in the Rocky Over 30 Hockey League.
COVID has created many policy challenges municipally. I will continue to vote for your freedom to choose and fairness for everyone. I am proud of my budgeting skills and abilities and to have been able to be part of keeping taxes at zero percent increase three years in a row and especially during a pandemic. COVID response and action plans are ever changing, and I will be the voice of reason and calm during it all.
