Marley Capraro

My name is Marley Capraro and I am running for a position of town councillor for Rocky Mountain House.
In the 17 years that I have been a member of this community I have met my amazing partner and we are now choosing to raise our three beautiful children here.
I started my career in real estate here in Rocky and surrounding area almost 12 years ago. One of the parts I love most about my job is meeting new residents and sharing with them all the amazing things Rocky and the Clearwater County has to offer. Being a realtor has helped me with developing strong communication skills, negotiating and problem-solving skills, as well as learning to think outside the box. I have a strong work ethic and my best is always given.
Growth and development I feel is imperative. I’d love to see the town offer incentives to developers and businesses to help aid with the financial costs associated with developing. More infrastructure is needed, and I think the town would benefit from investing in itself to help offset some of the costs to developers. The new tax base it would create for the town would also help offset the cost of investment.
Budgeting and cost savings are key in ensuring the town has more than enough funds needed for its operating costs. Finding areas to save money and allocating funds to development, promoting tourism, etc., will bring new residents and visitors to our town, in turn generating more income.
The COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect our residents and businesses every day. I’d like to see the town continue to support our community through open dialogue, financial aid to those in need and creating a plan to help businesses and residents get back on their feet when the pandemic is over.
This community has given so much to me and my family and I want to show my appreciation by continuing to give back. Helping people gives me so much joy and I always keep people’s best interests in mind and at heart. I would continue to do so if given the opportunity to sit and be a part of town council. Thank you for your support.
